Having visited Hills Rubber in the week, they guillotine some 5mm neoprene
sheet into 14 metres of 12mm wide strips.

It is absolutely lashing down with rain without a break so no chance of doing any roofing today so get the neoprene packed behind the glass, this is a slow job pushing it into place using a plastic spatula and the wedge end of wooden clothes pegs, using washing up liquid as a lubricant to get it in place. This job actually takes all day but looks really neat once it is done. |

The temporary roof proves robust against the elements so Allison insists that we eat breakfast in the conservatory improvising work surfaces as temporary dining table and chairs. |
